Healthcare IT and advanced visualization developer Merge Healthcare has released the latest version of its MergeCOM-3 DICOM toolkit.
The new release features performance and functional improvements to compression, according to the Hartland, WI-based firm. Merge said it has signed 17 toolkit contracts since its last upgrade earlier this year.
In developments with its MergeCOM-3 HL7 toolkit, Merge has added a plug-in and sample for creating HL7 mappings through a graphical user interface. This allows interface analysts to create and validate HL7 connectivity, the vendor said.
Merge said it has also incorporated new image quality and acquisition workflow improvements into its Image Enhancement Toolkit for digital radiography (DR) vendors. Merge will show its toolkits at next week's RSNA meeting in Chicago.
