PACS vendor Intelerad Medical Systems of Montreal has partnered with M*Modal of Pittsburgh to integrate the speech recognition firm's Speech Understanding technology with its Multi-Method Reporting module for IntelePACS and InteleOne software.
Multi-Method Reporting combines dictation, speech recognition, and structured reporting into a single interface and workflow, according to Intelerad. M*Modal's Speech Understanding allows radiologists to choose self-completion or transcription-assisted editing of radiology results.
With the integration of the products, radiologists can now choose how they report each study, using voice recognition when it suits them or using digital dictation or a structured report template, resulting in improved turnaround times, consistency, and quality of results, according to Intelerad.
