Telemis buys Italian PACS firm Micromedica

PACS vendor Telemis of Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, has strengthened its position in the Italian PACS market by acquiring Micromedica of Turin, Italy.

With the deal, Micromedica becomes part of the Telemis Group. Micromedica managing director Gian Paolo Robutti will become general manager of Telemis in Italy.

Micromedica was founded in 1975 as ERRE and has specialized in the storage and management of radiology images. Some of Italy's largest public hospitals are among the company's base of clients.
