Rogan-Delft adds African order

PACS vendor Rogan-Delft said that its sister company Delft Imaging Systems and service partner Pyramid Pharma have received a large multisite PACS order in Tanzania.

The project will provide tuberculosis screening at the Tanzania Prisons Service, according to the Veenendaal, Netherlands-based vendor. Computer-aided detection (CAD) analysis of digital chest x-rays will also be performed on images from a Delft Imaging Systems' Odelca-DR system, which will be installed at a correctional institution.

Images will be routed to a large central hospital, where a Rogan-Delft Zillion PACS will be able to distribute images to multiple locations for teleradiology reporting, Rogan-Delft said.

The project will be supported technically by the Dutch foundation PharmAccess International, with financing provided by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Rogan-Delft said.
