Acuo wins AT&T contract

Image management technology provider Acuo Technologies said it has won a contract to collaborate with AT&T on cloud-based healthcare storage technology.

Acuo Technologies and AT&T will develop a vendor-neutral, cloud-based medical imaging storage package for healthcare providers and suppliers as part of AT&T's ForHealth portfolio of mHealth, cloud-based, and telehealth products.

Under the terms of the agreement, AT&T will use Acuo's DICOM services grid with its own synaptic storage package to create a cloud-based offering for storing, accessing, and sharing medical images. The package will support disparate PACS networks on an as-needed model, Bloomington, MN-based Acuo said.
