Image display firm Barco of Kortrijk, Belgium, has signed a deal to use graphics technology from semiconductor developer Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) of Sunnyvale, CA, in its display controllers.
Barco picked AMD's ATI FirePro 3D professional graphics technology and AMD Eyefinity multidisplay technology for inclusion in its MXRT series of display controllers. The AMD technology will enable Barco users to drive three medical displays with just one graphics card, saving space on PCs and simplifying installation.
