Agfa nets DIN-PACS contract

Agfa HealthCare announced it has been awarded a Digital Imaging Network - PACS (DIN-PACS) III contract from the U.S. government.

The contract initially runs for two years with an additional three years of options. Each year is worth a potential $60 million, with a maximum contract limitation of $600 million if the government elects to extend the contract through all of the additional option terms.

Agfa HealthCare is the only company that has held a DIN-PACS contract with the U.S. government since 1998, it said. Under the previous two DIN-PACS contracts, Agfa has delivered more than $450 million in products and services.
