USARad.com debuts national peer review

Teleradiology services provider USARad.com has introduced a national quality assurance service.

Designed to assist imaging facilities in achieving and maintaining American College of Radiology (ACR) accreditation, USARad.com's peer review program is open to individual radiologists, hospital radiology departments, imaging centers, independent diagnostic testing facilities (IDTFs), mobile imaging providers, and multispecialty physician groups, according to the firm.

USARad.com said the program will use a random sampling of radiology reports and grade them on a six-point scale for various imaging and reporting parameters. The company's board-certified and fellowship-trained reviewing radiologists will also provide feedback on a reading radiologist's style and depth of reporting, as well as medicolegal aspects such as communication with referring physicians, the company said.
