Microsoft said it has updated its HealthVault Connection Center to support the upload of healthcare images from DICOM CDs or DVDs via a computer to an online Microsoft HealthVault account.
The update will allow clinicians to create a cloud-based record of images using HealthVault and the Windows Azure cloud computing operating system, which will enable better continuity of care, according to Microsoft.
