Image display firm Barco has launched the Mammo Tomosynthesis 5-megapixel display system for breast tomosynthesis.
The display is cleared for use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and features technologies specifically developed for multimodality mammography.
Barco's proprietary RapidFrame technology enhances pixel refresh when reviewing multiframe image sequences, such as tomosynthesis or breast MRI, to eliminate blurring or ghosting.
In addition, Barco's patented Per Pixel Uniformity feature removes disturbing screen noise to enhance images, improve diagnoses, and hasten workflow, the company said.
