PACS vendor Intelerad Medical Systems announced at this week's Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting that it has begun shipping a referring physician portal.
First shown at the 2010 RSNA show, InteleConnect is a browser-based product that does not require any training or installation of software, significantly reducing administrative and IT support work traditionally involved in distributing imaging results.
It is accessible from any computer, smartphone, or tablet device, and it offers radiology providers a way to include their name and logo for branding purposes, according to Intelerad.
