DICOM Grid is highlighting enhancements to its cloud platform for imaging applications at this week's Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Washington, DC.
The DICOM Grid viewer allows users to securely access and share medical images and reports stored in a vendor-neutral archive (VNA) from any HTML5-capable Web browser; software does not need to be installed to view images across any image modality or PACS, according to DICOM Grid.
Protected health information is safe because data are not stored in the browser or local system, the company said.
