Medical record services provider eHealth Global Technologies has released version 2 of its hybrid federated architecture for its eHealth Connect image exchange service.
The release adds support for emergency/trauma workflows, providing for immediate review of diagnostic-quality images, according to the vendor. The new version also incorporates a more flexible distributed architecture to more readily adapt to the needs of very large image providers, eHealth said.
eHealth has also included an image exchange utility model, which allows a health information exchange to "plug in" to the firm's image exchange service.
