Teleradiology services provider Virtual Radiologic (vRad) will provide pro bono diagnostic radiology services to the international medical humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
vRad will provide the services of its more than 400 radiologists to two projects in Nukus, Uzbekistan, and Boguila, Central African Republic.
MSF recently installed a new digital imaging system in Uzbekistan, which is currently experiencing an outbreak of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. The organization also plans to install a new digital imaging system in Boguila, where access to medical care is very limited due to continuing violence, vRad said.
