Healthcare IT and advanced visualization developer Merge Healthcare has selected Dell as its preferred provider of cloud computing services, storage and enterprise hardware products, and management and archiving.
Through its cloud-based Unified Clinical Archive, Dell manages more than 4 billion medical images and studies for healthcare organizations. Dell will also host Merge's medical image sharing network, Honeycomb, according to the firm. Users can upload, download, view, and share diagnostic quality medical images at no cost.
In addition, Merge has certified its iConnect vendor-neutral archive on Dell's DX object storage platform, which will allow access, storage, protection, and distribution for fixed digital image content managed by iConnect, Merge said.
