PACS vendor ScImage and Philips Healthcare have developed an integration option between ScImage's PicomEnterprise PACS software and Philips' PageWriter TC series of cardiographs.
The companies believe that the option will improve clinical electrocardiogram (ECG) workflow and reduce the complexity that is associated with custom integration between ECG systems and PACS software. The bidirectional interface will reduce transcription errors during the ECG process by transmitting modality worklists from PicomEnterprise directly to PageWriter TC units. ECGs will also become available throughout a healthcare enterprise due to direct uploading of the ECGs.
The two companies began collaborating by integrating Philips' QLab ultrasound software with ScImage's PACS.
