Software developer Laurel Bridge Software announced that its DICOM toolkit for medical imaging systems will now include libraries for each supported language and platform, rather than just for a single platform.
The upgrade allows developers to select the language and platform most appropriate to their application without having to consider the cost impact of switching DICOM libraries, according to the firm.
Laurel Bridge is the only vendor supplying a DICOM solution that provides a consistent application programming interface to C++, Java, C#, and .NET, as well as support for 32- and 64-bit Windows, Linux, and other Unix platforms, the company said.
