The Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) has announced the launch of the SIIM Knowledge Center, a free, online-only resource for the imaging informatics community. It will debut at the organization's annual meeting being held June 7-10 in Orlando, FL.
The SIIM Knowledge Center will release its first two volumes of the Need to Know (NTK) ePub series. The NTK series was written as an online successor to Practical Imaging Informatics, a textbook published by SIIM. The volumes currently feature educational resources on archiving and displays for medical imaging.
The online-only format is intended to facilitate updates and content expansion and to maintain relevancy of the information in the rapidly evolving field. The SIIM Knowledge Center will encourage interactivity through the use of multimedia, discussion forums, and feedback surveys. It will also maintain an online portal for SIIM members to access educational content from SIIM meetings and webinars.
