Software developer ETIAM has introduced ETIAM DICOM Izer 4.0, which features new enhancements designed to bring DICOM compliance to nonimaging data for greater interoperability and integration into patient records.
The new 4.0 version can integrate all major medical image types, such as images, video, documents, and digitized films, as files with universally shared DICOM headers, the firm said.
ETIAM DICOM Izer 4.0 also offers integration and indexing of HD video to convert video to DICOM Visible Light formats both in standard and high resolutions. The upgrade also allows the addition of medical information to images through the insertion of editable DICOM attributes and image annotation for enhanced PACS integration.
ETIAM DICOM Izer 4.0 is being presented this week at the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) annual meeting in Orlando, FL.
