At this week's Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting, GE Healthcare has introduced Centricity PACS 4.0, which features new enhancements to the technology.
New usability features in Centricity PACS 4.0 include the following:
- Navigator with Snap Tool and Timeline features to drag and drop an image series into a monitor region to enhance workflow and offer multiple options for display
- A Single-Click Save tool for users to "quick save" and apply a presentation state with an autogenerated label and description with no additional user interaction
- A "Lights off" UI theme designed to decrease eye fatigue and improve reading comfort by offering high-contrast icons in reading rooms with dimmer lighting
- Enhancements to Centricity Enterprise Archive to streamline the archiving of different radiology images, large datasets, diagnostic reports, and other clinical information into a universal clinical content repository
