Carestream Health demonstrated work-in-progress 3D lesion management tools on its Vue PACS workstation software at the International Society for Computed Tomography (ISCT) annual meeting in San Francisco.
The new lesion management application enables radiologists to automatically measure a lesion and compare it to previous findings in an MR or CT scan, according to the vendor. Each result can be bookmarked and can include comments and data for easy access, Carestream said.
Carestream believes the ability to provide localization, measurements, follow-up, and comparison of findings can help eliminate viewer variation and enhance accuracy, as well as improve communication and collaboration between radiologists and clinicians.
The company showcased the tools during the annual Workstation Face-Off, which is part of the International Symposium on Multidetector-Row CT.
