Image display firm Barco has released a new version of its MediCal QAWeb Mobile software for viewing DICOM-quality medical images on the iPad.
The new release features an enhanced user interface and is compatible with Apple's third-generation iPad.
The upgrade also provides extra quality assurance test methods to view clinical images on all three generations of iPads. In addition to standalone and embedded integration, the software now features a third and server-based integration option for radiologists to view DICOM-quality images using a basic Web browser, without the need for a mobile image viewer.
