Advanced visualization and analysis software firm Claron Technology is offering new enhancements to its zero-footprint Nil viewers, and the company plans to debut these enhancements at the 2012 RSNA meeting.
Nil viewers include the NilRead diagnostic-quality Web-based viewer, and the NilShare viewer for clinicians and patients.
NilRead will now include support for viewing patient exams across multiple PACS archives, vendor-neutral archives (VNAs), and health information exchanges (HIEs). The new version of NilRead is also designed to support rules-based hanging protocols so that exams will be displayed according to a physician’s preferences, in addition to supporting multimonitor image display.
There is also new Skype integration of both viewers for voice, data, and instant messaging, Claron said.
NilRead and NilShare can be integrated into any DICOM network and are available as turnkey systems for hospitals, imaging groups, or radiology practices.
