Display provider Eizo Nanao Technologies will shine the spotlight on a number of new displays at next week's RSNA meeting.
RadiForce GX540 is a 5-megapixel monochrome LCD monitor, while the RadiForce RX440 is a 4-megapixel color LCD display. Both feature LED backlights designed to extend the life of the displays; all of Eizo's diagnostic displays now feature LED backlights, according to the vendor.
Production of these two displays is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2013.
Eizo will also discuss the version 4.1.4 upgrade to its RadiCS medical monitor quality control software. The new release includes support for Mac OS X v10.7 Lion.
In addition, Eizo will emphasize a multimodality 8-megapixel color widescreen monitor suitable for mammography. The 36.4-inch RadiForce RX840-MG monitor, which has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for mammography and general radiography, can display super-high-resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels of information volume without obtrusive bezels, Eizo said.
This allows the display to present digital mammography as well as MRI, CT, and ultrasound images individually or in multimodality displays, according to the vendor. Eizo received FDA 510(k) clearance for the display on November 14.
