PACS software developer DR Systems has received a new patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the company said.
U.S. Patent No. 8,244,014 describes systems and methods for viewing medical images, according to the firm. A computer monitors the parts of the medical image that are displayed, notes those parts that have been displayed at full resolution, and indicates parts of the image that have not been viewed at full resolution, DR Systems said.
