Cloud-based imaging platform developer DICOM Grid has been awarded a grant to bring image sharing capabilities to the Massachusetts Health Information Highway (HIway).
The grant comes from the Massachusetts eHealth Institute (MeHI) at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative and will fund the development of a standards-based interface for healthcare providers to access and exchange images over the Massachusetts health information exchange (HIE).
The goal of the competitive grant program, called the Mass HIway Vendor Interface Grant Program, is to accelerate connections to the HIE, which will enable healthcare providers to exchange information and therefore increase the impact of the HIway on everyday care delivery.
