Researchers from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center will describe in this Monday session how mobile devices can help radiologists consult informally on interesting cases.
Radiologists in a group that covers different hospitals often find it challenging to have quick and informal consultations due to communication issues between different PACS, according to presenter Dr. Loyrirk "Float" Temiyakarn. Noting the recent advances in camera optics and sensors on mobile devices, the researchers sought to determine if they could be used to overcome these hurdles.
Temiyakarn and colleagues evaluated several mobile applications for ease of use, image capture fidelity, security, and ease of sharing, and they found one particular app that stood out.
Which one? You'll have to attend the talk to find out.
