In this scientific paper presentation, a University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) team will share how a software application can enable radiologists and pathologists to communicate and integrate diagnostic findings.
Under its RadPath project, UCLA has established an informatics platform that supports the diagnosis of indeterminate nodules by streamlining collaboration between clinicians in radiology and pathology, said presenter Dr. Corey Arnold.
"Resulting RadPath reports integrate findings into succinct, interactive visualizations that allow downstream users to more quickly review and understand diagnostic information," Arnold told AuntMinnie.com. "Our preliminary work in lung cancer represents the first step in our broader efforts to integrate, organize, and visualize a spectrum of diagnostic, treatment, and follow-up information."
