Monitor manufacturer and distributor U.S. Electronics (USEI) has released a series of LED-backlit diagnostic monitors to be displayed at RSNA 2013.
The monitors have a broad range of resolutions, including 1.3, 2, 3, 5, and 6 megapixels. Other monitor options are color, monochrome, and touchscreen.
The new LED backlighting technology provides for high brightness, long lifetime, and a wider color gamut compared with previous monitors that used cold cathode fluorescent lamps for backlighting, USEI said.
Other features include improved brightness and contrast, backlight stabilization providing for DICOM calibration, display port interface, and internal power supply, USEI said. Monochrome monitors include Totoku's independent subpixel drive (ISD) technology.
