RIS/PACS firm Brit Systems has released Roentgen Works Version 2.2, a browser-based platform for enterprise RIS/PACS, at RSNA 2013 in Chicago.
The system includes a vendor-neutral archive (VNA), cloud-based storage and image sharing, and critical results reporting. It can also generate QR codes in reports that link to the study's images. A new Upload Request tool allows a user to send an email link to people so they may easily upload studies or reports via the Roentgen Cloud, Brit said. Also, the Download for CD tool has been enhanced to optionally include a viewer and password, so users can now burn CDs and DVDs to give to patients.
Other enhancements include changes to the user notification alert system; clinicians can email or text a message to alert another clinician of a new study, status of a current study, or critical result findings.
The system will be delivered in the first quarter of 2014, Brit said.
