RIS/PACS firm Novarad has unveiled the latest version of its RIS/PACS this week at RSNA 2013 in Chicago.
NovaRad's NovaRIS/NovaPACS combined radiology system has smarter study comparisons, new modality activity/cost management reports, and an enhanced interface, the company said.
The new smarter study comparison functionality automatically opens related comparison studies for an open study. The modality activity/cost management report enables easier tracking of both modality productivity and profitability, Novarad said.
Additional updates include a consulting physician field in diagnostic reports, the ability to restore deleted studies up to 90 days after deletion, and integration with third-party long-term archives.
The combined RIS/PACS is Web-based and runs on the same open-source platform. It's also available in Spanish and through an ASP model, the company added.
