Healthcare IT and advanced visualization developer Merge Healthcare reported a sharply lower net loss for the fourth quarter -- but also a decline in sales.
For the period (end-December 31), Merge had revenues of $53.6 million, down 17% from the $64.7 million reported in the fourth quarter of 2012. The company had a net loss of $265,000, compared with a net loss of $17.3 million a year ago.
For 2014, Merge expects sales ranging from $212 million to $225 million, with an adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) range of 19% to 20%.
