Radiology informatics firms Aycan Medical Systems and MedQ have joined forces to release aycan workflow, an integrated RIS/PACS offering.
Aycan workflow combines Aycan's PACS and MedQ's RIS enterprise technology to provide a turnkey digital imaging and patient management system, according to the vendors. The firms believe the software is ideal for imaging centers and small hospitals.
Features include a RIS-driven workflow with full order entry and worklists for front-office staff and technologists; complete patient histories; seamless linking from the reading worklist to the viewer; and local cache preloading of image data on the workstation, according to the companies.
Aycan and MedQ have also included user-definable report dictation options, report macros with manual and automatic prepopulation options, and automated report distribution options.
