PACS vendor RamSoft has won an installation of its PowerServer XU software at a Connecticut urgent care facility, the company said.
Velocity Urgent Care of Rocky Hill has expanded to Southington and installed RamSoft's PowerServer XU software there. The package is a specialized version of the company's PACS designed for facilities that have in-house modalities, such as ultrasound and x-ray, and require an efficient way to interpret studies locally or route to on-call radiologists for interpretation. It is built on the same platform as RamSoft's full-featured PowerServer PACS, according to the firm.
Sales and support for PowerServer XU are handled by Advanced Medical Xray, a RamSoft distributor that serves Connecticut and surrounding areas, the company said.
