Image management firm Heart Imaging Technologies (HeartIT) has signed a patent license deal with informatics company Viztek.
Viztek has licensed HeartIT's patents that cover the use of zero-footprint technologies to provide access to diagnostic-quality medical images in a standard Internet Web browser, according to HeartIT. Viztek and its subsidiaries have also agreed not to challenge the validity or enforceability of these patents.
