In addition to reviewing new mobile technology developments, mobile device and display expert Dr. David Hirschorn will detail the quality assurance (QA) issues associated with the use of these devices to display images.
"I'll be talking about the implications of curved phone displays for medical imaging, as well as the widening of the playing field of tablets, including the Microsoft Surface, which does allow calibration via its USB port; the larger iPhone 6, of course; and QA tests for the displays of mobile devices," said Hirschorn, who is from Staten Island University Hospital.
Hirschorn will also touch on mobile technology regulation from the perspective of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the states' departments of health.
