Informatics and digital radiography (DR) firm Viztek has announced the availability of its zero-footprint viewing software.
The software does not require any downloads or plug-in installation on a physician's PC and comes from Viztek's licensing agreement with a longstanding patent holder. Full functionality is available regardless of operating system or the age of the computer or platform, Viztek said. The viewing software exists within a Web browser using server-side rendering for added speed.
All study types are presented in diagnostic quality, along with voice recognition and audio dictation, according to Viztek. In addition, the company installed a smartphone app so that when radiologists open the study, the patient's record is ready to receive voice recognition or dictation.
