Merge Healthcare has launched an enhanced version of its PACS software to meet the needs of teleradiology and enterprise health systems.
PACS 7.0 focuses on the capabilities that users consider most valuable for improved operational workflow and preparation for better interoperability going forward, Merge said.
The new version integrates with iConnect Enterprise Archive, allowing access to all patient studies and eliminating the need for prefetching. Merge PACS 7.0 also includes the following:
- Worklist-driven precaching of upcoming studies, which are automatically delivered to the user
- Templated user settings that enable flexible enterprise user management
- Enhanced mammography tomosynthesis viewing with stack position indicator, multiplanar reconstruction, and thick slab viewing
- Macros that can also be used for customer-created integrations with other applications
