Informatics and digital radiography (DR) firm Viztek is highlighting several new offerings at RSNA 2014 in Chicago.
The new Viztek U-Arm includes features designed to shorten overall exam time through an enhanced user interface, patient-side viewing and control, and a greater number of preprogrammed imaging positions, according to the vendor.
In addition, Viztek will spotlight a new overhead tube crane (OTC) system, which combines the vendor's existing chest and table systems technology into one unit for facilities looking for a complete room replacement. New remote control capabilities offer anatomical programmable radiography and presets, while the company has also incorporated both manual and automatic options for movement mode and enhanced preprogramming for positioning during x-rays.
Both the U-Arm DR and OTC systems can be paired with Viztek's pediatric imaging software package for dose reduction, according to the vendor.
Viztek will also showcase Exa PACS, which is pending 510(k) clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The new PACS platform is designed to be fully Web-based and usable on any device with any operating system, according to the vendor.
Exa PACS offers features such as zero-footprint image viewing, server-side rendering, and automatic anatomical linking of all prior studies, Viztek said. Exa PACS will work in tandem with Exa EHR, which was introduced earlier this year.
