NEC Display Solutions of America has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its MultiSync MD322C8 LCD monitor for radiology review applications.
MD322C8 is a 32-inch, 8-megapixel (MP), high-definition review monitor that features four times the resolution of full HD, according to the firm. The monitor is calibrated at the factory to the DICOM grayscale function for luminance. It also includes an open pluggable specification-compliant option slot, which is compatible with NEC-provided 3G/HD/SDI input cards for connection to live video streams.
The display is available for $6,399 and ships with a five-year limited parts and labor warranty, the company said.
