PACS vendor ScImage's Picom365 enterprise PACS has been validated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
The action validates Picom365 as "supported for HL7 communication" with the VA's Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) imaging system, which integrates clinical images, scanned documents, and other nontextual data into the patient's electronic medical record.
ScImage has already received authorization from the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process, enabling DOD military service branches to implement Picom365 PACS at DOD medical treatment facilities worldwide, the company said.
