Life sciences research technology provider Medidata has purchased image-sharing firm Intelemage.
Medidata plans to integrate Intelemage's image-sharing technology into its Medidata Clinical Cloud software-as-a-service platform, offering customers a package for capturing, managing, and analyzing medical imaging data, according to the vendor.
Intelemage was founded in 2007 and offers image file-sharing services in clinical trials, as well as for hospitals, physicians, life sciences companies, research institutions, and core labs, the company said. It also provides medical imaging data capture and workflow management technology. Medidata said that Intelemage has processed 400 million images over the past 12 months in 85 countries and at more than 5,000 global locations.
The deal was completed in the second quarter. Terms were not disclosed.
