AmSurg's Physician Services division, Sheridan, has purchased radiology services provider AllegiantMD.
AllegiantMD provides onsite and remote subspecialized radiology services in the Tampa, FL, market, according to Sheridan. It employs 43 radiologists and provides radiology services to 18 facilities. AllegiantMD provides the majority of its services to acute care hospitals in the Hospital Corporation of America and Community Health Systems networks, according to Sheridan.
With the acquisition, Sheridan said it will now account for nearly 6 million radiology interpretations each year.
