Healthcare IT firm Aspyra has received ISO certification for its PACS AccessNet and MedView software applications.
The software complies with ISO 13485, "Medical devices -- Quality management systems -- Requirements for regulatory purposes," an internationally agreed-upon standard that sets out the requirements for a management system throughout every step of a system's life cycle.
Certification is not a requirement of the ISO 13485 standard, but third-party certification can demonstrate that ISO 13485 requirements have been met.
