Agfa HealthCare has been named a pilot vendor for RSNA's Image Share Validation program, which verifies that medical imaging systems are compliant with international standards developed by DICOM and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) for sharing medical images and reports.
Agfa's Enterprise Imaging platform will undergo an interoperability evaluation, led by RSNA and its partner the Sequoia Project, a nonprofit organization that seeks to advance implementation of secure, interoperable nationwide health information exchange. Once the evaluation is complete, Agfa will receive a validation mark that declares the interoperability of its platform, the company said.
