Enterprise imaging firm Visage Imaging said it will showcase several new software enhancements for its Visage 7 enterprise imaging software platform at this month's RSNA meeting in Chicago.
Visage will highlight version 7.1.9, which includes one viewer that can be used for all medical imaging disciplines, including radiology, cardiology, and breast imaging, as well as non-DICOM medical multimedia objects, according to the vendor. The viewer can be used for enterprise-wide diagnostic use, clinical distribution, electronic health record integration, and other specialty workflows, the company said.
The release also includes workflow features such as automatic display of any combination of current/prior studies using rules and native thin-client advanced visualization tools, Visage said. The firm will also use RSNA 2016 to highlight upgrades to the software's breast imaging functionality, including additional hanging protocol refinements and mammography keypad support. Visage Ease mobile barcode and Q/R code scanning capabilities have also been improved.
The company will also preview its upcoming 7.1.10 software release, which will include a number of incremental enhancements. For example, users will gain the ability to attach patient photos to the software even if the patient doesn't have pre-existing images in the system, Visage said.
