PACS technology developer Sorna has received certification for complying with the requirements of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485:2003 for its digital medical image and data sharing systems.
Certification was received from British Standards Institution Group America. The standard represents requirements for a quality management system for the design and manufacture of medical devices, the company said.
The certification is part of Sorna's plans to continue the global sales expansion of its Vertex software. Vertex's first international release will be in Spanish, and the company will demonstrate the software at the upcoming RSNA 2016 meeting.
