Enterprise storage firm Panzura has launched a cloud-based data management, storage, and archive platform.
The firm's Freedom Archive can store medical images and is used by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the company said. It eliminates the need to store less frequently accessed data on expensive primary or secondary storage and to transfer it to traditional archiving methods such as tape or optical disk. It gives users the ability to identify and move archive data from expensive and older onsite storage solutions to the cloud, according to Panzura.
