PACS software provider IntellaPACS announced it has changed its name to Emergent Connect, effective January 1, 2017.
Emergent Connect will mark the new year with a new website and an updated corporate identity, reflecting a commitment to the broader healthcare market and software innovation, the firm said. The company's headquarters will remain in Lakeway, TX.
Some 47,000 users and 67,000 connected facilities in all 50 U.S. states are currently supported by the IntellaPACS name, the company said. All future business will be conducted under the Emergent Connect name, which unites the growing digital imaging and software business and also better supports customer needs through a unified brand, IntellaPACS said.
Emergent Connect is still providing its products through a partnership with a leading national teleradiology service provider, but the company is now expanding the availability of its offerings to the entire healthcare marketplace, the firm said.
Emergent will also introduce the Exceed PACS and Exceed RIS product lines, which were formerly called Intella PACS and Intella RIS, single-platform PACS and RIS solutions that offer high-quality imaging and advanced workflow management driven by 100% cloud-based architecture.
Emergent Connect launched its first PACS and RIS product in 2012 through a partnership with a national teleradiology service provider, the firm said. The company now manages millions of records.
