Hyland has collaborated with MetroHealth System in Cleveland to develop a way to consolidate PACS and vendor-neutral archive (VNA) content into the company's OnBase single-enterprise information platform.
The OnBase VNA provides MetroHealth with a single storage platform that standardizes and centralizes medical imaging studies and other patient data from multiple vendor PACS. By deploying a VNA strategy with the OnBase platform, MetroHealth can make both DICOM and non-DICOM content available.
Hyland and MetroHealth addressed storage issues by developing a way to move data from priority-one tier storage to a different level as the information becomes dated. Dated or expired information will automatically be destroyed and officially removed, mitigating any associated risks.
